Traveling with WireMasters – AEA, MRO, and AIX 2015
The last few weeks have been busy for team WireMasters! We traveled from Dallas, TX for AEA 2015, to Miami, FL for MRO 2015, and then to Hamburg, Germany for AIX 2015. All three shows were amazing, and our team had a wonderful time networking with industry professionals.
Our journey began at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Dallas, Texas for the 58th annual AEA International Convention & Trade Show. The show’s attendance was at an all-time high with 1897 attendees, marking a 21% increase from the 2014 event. Avionics manufacturers, repair stations, avionics dealers and installers and other general aviation professionals were among those attendees that gathered at the four day event helping sell out the exhibit hall. WireMasters was excited to host our first Java Jumpstart at this year’s show. Friday Morning our team provided coffee and pastries to attendees and we thank each of you who came by to visit with our team and make the event a success.
During the show the AEA Association unveiled the results from the 2014 Aviation Market Report with sales exceeding $2.5 billion. WireMasters is honored to be a part an AEA Member as we continue to support the aviation industry.
The WireMasters team left Dallas and traveled to MRO Americas 2015 in Miami, FL at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Celebrating 20 years of MRO Americas, the convention was the largest to date with 15,000 attendees representing 87 countries! A primary focus at the show was new technology and its effect on the evolution of the MRO industry. As manufacturers release next generation aircraft and engines, MRO providers will have to progress with these advanced capabilities.
WireMasters team members also attended AIX 2015 in Hamburg, Germany. Focused primarily on the advancements in aircraft interiors, the show displayed various new IFE systems. Lumexis, Thales, and Rockwell Collins were among many companies to unveil their latest IFE products during the show. Lumexis released a new product called iPax, said to offer a unique passenger experience while providing significant cost and weight savings. Thales unveiled their Inflyt Experience that serves the entire passenger experience with a full IFE package. Rockwell Collins made their mark at the show with their Paves Passenger Service System, a lightweight, low-cost reading light and cabin crew call system with optional USB charging port for personal devices. The IFEC Zone portion of the show increased by 25% from 2014, and with the IFE Market continuing to expand, this trend shows no signs of abating.
It’s been an enjoyable and rewarding experience networking with other aerospace industry professionals at our recent exhibits, but for now it is back to the home office in Columbia, TN. Make sure to visit us at our next exhibit, June 15-21st at the Paris Air Show where WireMasters will be located in Hall 5—Booth B266. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
